Hello! I see you posted this a while ago so perhaps you've already found a solution for your daughter but I thought I'd share my experiences with sunscreen as an eczema sufferer.

I'm not sure exactly why your daughter comes out in a rash. Some people are sun-sensitive and others react to the sunscreen they are wearing.

I'm not sun-sensitive but I can easily react to creams and chemicals, especially in my face. I struggled for a few years to find a sun cream that didn't reduce my face to a red itchy mess. After some research and experimentation I've come to the decision that chemical sun barriers (creams that contain chemicals that absorb the sun's rays) cause my eczema to worsen. I use a physical barrier sunblock which reflects the sun's rays. Physical barrier sunscreens are very white by nature and are visible on the skin. Most high street brands will be either chemical barier sunblocks or a combination of both in order to arrive as at athesthetically pleasing product. I ended up searching on the internet for physical sunscreens and found the brand 'Lavera' very successful on my last holiday abroad (should probably say other brands available or something not to sound like I'm advertising!).

I used the 20SPF sun milk on my face and 15SPF Family Sun-spray on my body. They both screen against UVA+B and are effective immediately. I think they have child-targeted products too. I'm sure you can find more info about it with a web search. My skin was not only happy on the eczema front, but I did not burn - quite an achievement given I was in Greece in August! Yes, I was a little paler than usual but I'll give up the golden look for happy skin any day!

Hope this was some help to you or others.

P.S. My eczema (more in my face than anywhere else) can be worsened by swimming in the sea - I think it's the dehydrating effect of the salt. Perhaps this is another source of your daughter's rash?
