Eczema - Does Aloe Vera Work ?

Eczema - Does Aloe Vera Work ?

Postby Rose » Thu May 22, 2003 10:20 am

Hello... I have a 6 yr old son who is suffering from a bad eczema flareup all over his body and nothing I have tried worked.

His normal steriod cream, the one previous to that, aqueous cream, hemp body butter - no good.

It's really bad on his genitals and he's scratching it, so much that the skin is broken and it stings when he goes to the toilet.

I've had to tell his class teacher that he has eczema down there as I know he reaches down there and scrathes sunconsciously!

Someone suggested Aloe Vera gel, so I bought that and tried it - no visible improvement.

Any ideas ? I can't convince my doctor to prescribe him Protopic either.

A very distressed mum.

My wife try omega 3 supplements and shiitake mushroom extract capsules. All quite effective at the moment. I hope it helps!
