Seborrheic eczema which is otherwise known as sebaceous dermatitis or sebaceous eczema is a type of eczema that causes flakes to appear on the scalp (scalp eczema), the face, and the torso.

If you only have scalp eczema, it is sometimes difficult to tell it from dandruff. You will only realize that you actually HAVE sebaceous dermatitis once you begin seeing the same flaking on your face or your torso. At such a time, the sebaceous dermatitis has already progressed. Still, you can keep it from getting worse even at this stage.
