6 year old son with eczema on his face - need help

6 year old son with eczema on his face - need help

Postby Caroline » Sun Jan 06, 2008 9:48 pm

Hi

My 6 year old son has had eczema for a number of years now it is always there but flares up at certain times of the year. He currently has it around his eyes and mouth. He also wears glasses. The area around his eyes where the glasses touch (the side of his nose) is very sore and has started to bleed in some areas. Does anyone have any information on creams I could try bearing in mind he said that E45 stings/burns him. Many thanks for your help x

Is his eczema self-caused by habitually scratching or due to dry skin?

If his skin is extremely dry, then he will continue to suffer from chronic eczema due to this. People with dry skin lack the natural-oil barrier which would protect them from environmental aggressors such as salt (from sweating), heat, dirt and etc. In order to form that barrier, I strongly recommend Organic Shea Butter to be applied on his skin via fingertips after a shower or a bath, before the moisture that accumulates on his face from the shower is gone.

Shea Butter is an all natural & organic product with an amazing history and cultivation technique behind it. The best part of it, however, is that it is not a cosmetic product, it is a %100 natural and unsynthesized product that includes a variety of vitamins and minerals essential for skin.

Shea Butter, ideally applied on clean face immediately after a relaxing facial steam therapy will form the natural protecting barrier that your son's skin lacks. Due to the extra-thick texture of this product, that barrier will stay there longer than any other thing that could possibly be applied. Ideally, it should be applied via this method every day.

I have been using L'occitane Organic Shea Butter for 3 years buy now, and my chronic atopic eczema has eventually become forgotten history. Furthermore, I have ended up with one of the least problematic, silkiest and glowing facial-skin that gets me compliments all the time!

Oh boy, you will see the difference FAST. Thank me later.

Enjoy!

my daughter only has flare ups on her scalp, so I am looking for a body wash or shampoo to help us out, she is 8yrs now and it is starting to bug her emotionally, I tell her not to worry that I will always keep it under control as best as we can. I am using a hydrcotrizon cream at night time and leave it in for 2 days and then wash her hair and start all over again in 2-3 days. If anyone would recomend a body wash or shampoo that we could try.

Hi Christine,

You could try the Halos and Horns range - they leave out most nasty chemicals. You purchase it from large tesco stores and now some Boots.

I have found Dermol 200 body wash to be quite good but as with everything some things work on some then not on others.

For the hair I would avoid using any product everyday - just use water every other day.

Check with the optometrist. He could have contact dermatitus, an allergy to the materials in his eyeglass frames. Or maybe the frames need to be adjusted so that don't rub on his skin.

Hi,

Eczema around a mouth often indicates a food allergy. In fact, in my opinion eczema always means that there is an underlying allergic reaction to something. Our main goal then is to identify the trigger. I would recommend Heal Your Baby's Eczema available from simplyeczemafree.com since I learnt more from this booklet than I learnt from any other source.

acne is a serious polbrem for skin. it should be cured form its starting. though skin is a sensitive part of human body, so you should not take any risk. you should contact an expert specialist as soon as possible. beside this you should drink huge amount of water and eat fruits contain vitamin A. Vitamin A is good for health. you can try papaya, batter and olive oil mixer for acne . you also can try cucumber juice, rub ice, egg white. those are really good for acne. you can take a lemon juice facial before sleep.

One thing I've noticed is that often there are plntey of fallacies regarding the banking companies intentions whenever talking about property foreclosure. One misconception in particular is always that the bank wishes to have your house. The lending company wants your money, not your house. They want the funds they loaned you along with interest. Staying away from the bank will undoubtedly draw a foreclosed summary. Thanks for your posting.

Aveeno only ever makes my breakouts worse, try a cream called glaxal base instead you can get it at any drugstore and isn't prescription, keeps the skin hydrated and doesnt have any additives, its the base of what they use in prescription creams, the next step is try to a corticosteroid on prescription
